I see you in sleeping waking moments
Even dreamt of you while it was still dark this morning
You appeared on the planes of my consciousness without warning
Just so suddenly larger than life
Not sure when you took up residence in my mind
You’re not a figment of the imagination
I have always known you, loved you
Though it took sometime to recognize, you
The other half of me
I ask myself how could this be?
Not having met you, yet.
I know you in my spirit
Your tastes, your touch, the small secret smiles that crease your face
Only reserved for me, my beloved!
The unruly bush of your curly hair
Those big enveloping eyes that miss nothing
I carry you with me throughout my day
In music and in song constantly
My love, given in promise
Before time, in eternity
I count the days and weeks ahead
When I’ll meet reality and look upon the living countenance of your dear face
Till then my visions and observations will suffice, though I wish otherwise
You’re my only vice
I’ll wait for you!
