But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy”1 Peter 1:15-16

“God is holy in nature and in all His ways, and he wants to make man like Himself. He wants man to be Christlike. This is the aim of all Christian effort. We must therefore constantly and earnestly pray to be made holy” E.M.Bounds.

I alluded to the issue of soul ties earlier this week when I posted in the article “Sexuality, a blessing or curse.”  The Urban dictionary defines ‘soul ties as a spiritual or emotional connection you have to someone after being intimate with them, usually engaging in sexual intercourse. To the point that when you want to be rid of them from your mind and your life, even when you are far away from them and out of their presence you still feel as if they are a part of you… Causing you to feel un-whole…’. Soul tie is a God idea, when carried out per his instructions it leads to mutually beneficial relationships. It was intended to bring blessing and joy into our lives. Every person is a living soul “and the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul “Genesis 2:7.

Circular knitting on a circular needle

God made Eve to be a companion to her husband, in God’s kingdom two is better than one. In our own relationships I’m sure we are all grateful for our spouses and children etc, I’m lumping here all human relationships .They help to bring meaning, provide comfort and sustain us as we journey through life. We have soul- ties with all these individuals, but like everything else God has made beautiful the interloper comes and destroys or changes things around. Its Satan counterfeit ties that are running amok and trying to destroy all that is beautiful in the world, Satan cannot succeed if we don’t corporate with him. Mankind has to stop seeing each other as the enemy and unite to expose the real enemy.

If you read the Bible you won’t find the term soul tie but instead you’ll come across choices as knit together, one with another, one flesh, and members of one another and so on. Essentially they all mean the same thing soul tie.The Hebrew word for “knitted”: means “to weave.” Other times, the word is translated “to cover, screen, or protect.” Knitting also means companion. As I said previously two are better than one, God in his wisdom instituted the concept of two becoming one. Joining together has certain privileges and benefits a union is a strong bond; the Bible enforces this principle throughout the scriptures. Deuteronomy 32:30 “one have chased a thousand, and two have put ten thousand to flight.

Remember we are all living souls so all our relationships involve some association of the soul. I’m writing on spiritual matters and we are getting to the bit on sexual soul ties but I would be remiss if I don’t shed light on the other soul tie connections. The soul is from God, so it is a conduit or pathway to spiritual things. We know that there is the negative or positive spiritual(or supernatural. When we are living according to God’s divine agenda and obedient to his word it’s more difficult for the enemy to enter. The Christian is not exempt from demonic manipulation unless a person adheres to Godly instruction he is just as open to attack as the ungodly. One’s will, mental, spiritual and emotional capacity is tied into our soul. We are made in the image and likeness of God and were created to interact with our creator and the rest of his subjects.

Examples of Soul connections or ties:

As a group of people

Judges 20:11 “So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city knit together as one man” (having one common purpose).

Romans 12:5 “For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another” ( the body of Christ, one people)

Through friendships

1st Samuel 18:1 “And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.”

Brothers and sisters within the Body –

Colossians.2:2 “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love.”

A man and his wife

Genesis 4:1 “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived” (One of the most binding ties, its core is spiritual in nature but many enter into this relationship unawares of its significance).

Parent and children ties-

Genesis 37:34 “Then Jacob tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and mourned for his son many days.  All his sons and daughters came to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. “No,” he said, “I will continue to mourn until I join my son in the grave.” So his father wept for him.

(Parents are the first individuals that nurture and love children. Our formative years are spent in the care of these people who love and teach us the basics and foundational requirements for living. Everything else we learn in life is an additional layer. Loss and death involves more than grief, it is the actual severing of a soul tie hence its painful nature. Divorce also presents with the same implications because the souls are so intertwined with each other damage is done to the lives when they break apart).

Bonding is happening at many levels, these are just a few, and many types exist in other social contexts and institutions. Soul ties can be polluted and become toxic; if all was well we’d all be free of problems. There are many examples of destructive soul ties and many Biblical examples proving this issue has been prevalent with mankind for generations. They persist largely because of ignorance, our careless and selfish natures and primarily because of our lose lifestyles. Many people are in bondage today and it’s by prayer and sometimes fasting God can and will intervene to break the ungodly soul ties. This is too wide a topic to get into all at once so I’m focusing on the sexual aspect of the ties.

Caribbean, the Caribbean Sea, more than 7,000 ...

You know in the Caribbean we say “old fire stick easy to catch.” What it means is that previous lovers make up back after some time apart from each other. Sometimes whole families are caught up in the tangled mess as the soul ties are so strong. It literally forces the couple involved to leave their inhibitions behind and their morals to fly out the window. Their sense of right and wrong is severely impacted, and many wonder how they could be so callous. Considering they have children and separate lives, but unbeknownst to onlookers these men and women are tied together or bound in the spiritual realm. It’s an unseen bond but its binding nevertheless. How did this occur? The moment a man enters into a woman’s body he is connected to her on many levels. He has entered into her spirit and she, his because their sexual organs are gateways, to their spirit man. I’m here to debunk the theory today that ‘old fire stick catching easy.’ What’s catching old affairs and bringing them back together is the old soul tie that has not been dealt with and broken off.

Adam and Eve by Peter Paul Rubens

Adam and Eve by Peter Paul Rubens

Some nights ago I went to church; my bishop was speaking on grace. You know I’ve heard many teachings about the grace of God before but I never really received it. My spirit wasn’t ready back then to process this all important and necessary information. You see in a sense mankind betrayed God. Adam and Eve was given everything they needed, life was good in the garden. They messed up by being disobedient, that was not all though, Genesis 3:8-10 tells us “Where are you?” So he said, I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself. Adam and Eve were terrified because they knew exactly what they had done; their eyes had been opened to their sin. They did not repent but instead they hid and that is what brought the wrath of God down on mankind.

You see God grace is always present, we know when we mess up, we know when we do wrong but we hide it. Sweep it under the rug and go on as if nothing has happened. Even in the present state of affairs on the earth we pretend that nothing is wrong. God is saying my grace is sufficient mankind, come back to me and I will heal and forgive your land. We are saying, ‘no let me try this, let me do that, maybe this solution will work this time.’  While the noose is ever tightening about our necks we dilly dally and play with God. I am fascinated by Adam and Eve lives, and the choices they made. I do believe God was really angry with Adam, why did they not ask for forgiveness? I said in a previous piece that Adam lived to be over 900 years old, nowhere do we have mention of him accomplishing anything other than being a dad. Wow..!  My opinion again but I do believe God felt terribly hurt and saddened by their behavior. You and I are no different, we treat God as if he is the creation and we are in control. We try to reverse the roles, we need him but we pretend that we don’t. When mankind rejects God confusion reigns, how did we arrive at the present level of chaos and confusion we see in every nation and community on the earth today? I digress back to grace.

This walk with God has levels, my goodness. I think sometimes many ministers and teachers of the gospel make the erroneous assumption that everyone is at the same level of maturity. Some important elements of the Christian faith have to be broken down to the bare basics so everyone can understand more fully. In the back of my mind I had acknowledged this grace aspect but it wasn’t immediately real to me. God had to prove it to me, my my…! Since last night the Holy Spirit has been dealing with me on this topic. I finally get what this grace is supposed to mean. I have had more than my share of life troubles which have forced me to go looking for solutions in diverse places (not what you thinking). I have prayed every prayer known to man and still I was not seeing some of my burdens lifted. Much despair, much pain, much sorrow later I finally get it now. Living holy, being prayerful, going to church, worshiping, giving of tithes and offering are all necessary prerequisites to being a Christian. After all that is what God admonishes us to do in our walk with him? There is a but though, it’s by Gods grace and mercy alone some things will change in our lives.

Some of us lack a proper understanding of the grace impartation. Your efforts and your work are not qualifiers to grace; God gives the grace not mankind. Grace essentially means to acquire something that you do not deserve; it is also called by another name unmerited favor. God will pardon and have mercy on us if we cry out to him. Sometimes he will interceded and save us but he will always require us to do something in response ourselves. We can blame Adam and Eve all we want, but before we do we must understand some qualities about God. He knew that Adam and Eve would sin and he allowed it. Have you ever thought why he did that? Many times we don’t get that God is a paradox. He requires all of us to seek him for ourselves. There are some things we will never understand about him, get used to that aspect about him folks he is sovereign not your little boy or girl or woman. God is merciful to us every day. He does not need us you know he can get anything in creation to worship and obey him. I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out” Luke 19:40.

Mercy means that we do not get the punishment that we deserve. God is abundant in compassion, grace mercy and forbearance. God’s greatest act of grace is sending Jesus down to die to save man from his sinful ways. Salvation is by faith, you must believe on Jesus to be saved. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” John 3:36.Salvation is God’s gift to mankind, once received God himself will start the process of renewing you and put you on the pathway to eternal life. It’s all God’s will. Recently, as many of you know, I lost my sister. I prayed for her so much before she passed, and in the end I said God, why? The Bible says “naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” Job 1”21. We don’t always want to accept God’s will, for reasons known only to him he allows something’s we find abhorrent to happen to us.

I’m not trying to use my faith to justify my sisters passing or any aspect of my life. The things I’m being led to take on I don’t necessarily run to them. I’m driven to do this work because it’s being deposited in my spirit. I always want to be truthful with people, when I don’t comply with God’s wishes I always end up in trouble. Disobedience has brought many troubles my way, so I have decided to do his work whether I like it or not I submit. I live what I teach. What I want the reader to take away is this? If you do all that God asks and you become frustrated because you don’t see the results of your effort.
Remember this scripture And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” 1 Peter 5:10. God is faithful but we must share in the sufferings of Christ “For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children.  And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ) if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him” Romans 8:15-22.keep going along the path God has chosen for you. He will deliver you someday or maybe he won’t it’s his will to do so.This is very hard for many to grasp about the God we are being taught about. Life is not easy for no one, but some go through more trials, many times because of spiritual wickedness in high places, but God promises “that no good thing will he with hold from those that walk uprightly” Psalm 84:11.

This is a very serious hour for mankind get to know the God of grace and mercy.

Scriptures on Grace:

Different applications of the grace impartation

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

 Powerful Grace:

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Acts 4:33 And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.

Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people.

Acts 11:22-24 The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose, for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.

Acts 14:1-3 Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

Receiving Grace:

John 1:15-17 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ

Of course there are other scriptures on grace. Be blessed today!

Purpose: The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
Destiny:the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future. The hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate.

It’s possible to know God and still fail in life. Sin and disobedience wreaks havoc on a man’s ultimate purpose. Our destiny requires some decision-making on our part, we must choose some things. Biblical examples include, Sampson, King David, Joseph, Daniel and Adam among many others. When we experience failure, how we move forward is determined to some extent by our choices .Sometimes we have to motivate ourselves, to keep on going. All of the above examples met with failure at some point in their lives, it’s their attitude that determined the final outcome. If you are not sure who you are any prevailing will blow you in any direction. Most of you are young and everything looks good now; generally the young never prepare for their future and I’m not just speaking financially. Some of the relationships you refuse to abort; some of those friendships you are involved in currently will ultimately destroy you. Many hear of relationships and they think family or loved ones. Hey what about business, church, groups, clubs, social media and the list is exhaustive.

Many people never take the time to reason or evaluate situations for themselves. I want to show you an example with the first couple. Before I do though I want to caution some of you, God has warned you before but you have not listened. Judas was appointed to be the betrayer, of Jesus “while I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled” John 17:12 There are some things in the spirit that we will never understand. Everything God made has ears; even the mountains read Matthew 21: 21. Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it dried up, why? The fig tree heard him speak the command. The morning has ears; the universe is in constant communication with its creator. There are really no secrets, when you think about the things of the spirit. To some of you this might sound way off, but how would you know, you’ve never invested time with God. Some of you might say a person doesn’t have an official title don’t worry, its religion speaking. Did most of the people in the Bible have a title? When God chooses it’s obvious. God has his ways of doing things; he uses things that might seem foolish to you.

Someone might look insignificant to you but you don’t know why God has chosen them to do his work. I read a true story recently this associate pastor saw the general pastor stealing funds from his church, and one day he tried the same thing. The Holy Spirit convicted him immediately .The associate Pastor response “was well so and so was doing it”. The Holy Spirit said to him,” that man has already gotten his reward on earth.” “You have a different calling” so the man repented of his sins. Even in the body of Christ there are some individuals who are there for a specific reason, they are the ones God will use like Judas to bring about his ultimate purpose. Why these individuals behave in such a fashion if Jesus came to redeem the whole of mankind? The problem originates in people’s hearts, who knows hearts only the Lord does? Some pastors are not on their way to heaven, it’s the truth and we know it. If you study the good book you’ll find this out for yourself. And Jesus said “then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” Matthew 7:23. We serve the same God oh I take my pursuit of God seriously.

Adam did not know who he was; his major mistake was that he suffered from an identity crisis. He couldn’t teach Eve what he didn’t understand. God had given him everything he ever needed. When you have to scrape and fight and claw your way to get something from God you appreciate it when he finally gives it to you or you are a fool. Like Jacob his life had been characterized by struggle it came to a head when he wrestled with the angel. “He struggled with the angel and finally overcame him; he wept and begged for favor” Hosea 12:3-4.Adam loved his wife to distraction, like many men love and lust can render them unstable and unbalanced. Do you know that Adam failed in his life’s purpose; the real shame is that he lived to be 930 years. “And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died” Genesis 5:5.

The Bible never told us that Adam accomplished anything other than becoming a father after his exit from Eden. Do we get how much 930 years is, contemporary man has never lived to see these ages. God pronounced death on Adam and his wife,” But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” Genesis 2:17.From the day they disobeyed they were the walking dead. Imagine 930 years on the earth and he has accomplished nothing. You guys want to play with God, go ahead.

Death doesn’t always mean actual dying, God has many ways of killing a man yet he lives. Can you imagine how frustrated and unfulfilled Adam must have felt at the end of his life? Recent tragedies of individuals who have attained lofty heights are still on the periphery of our minds. Do you know who else played with God? Original bad boy, he has been sentenced to roam for ever until that day he burns in hell fire. Need I say more, God is a being, he has a presence, he is the creator of heaven and earth and all that dwells within them, and he is the king of all spirits. You can’t outsmart him; I dare you to try, if Lucifer didn’t win, what are your chances? Peace and blessings!

Christ and Christianity are inseparable, so intricately intertwined that one cannot exist without the other. Whether we recognize Christianity as divinity or religion doesn’t negate its relevance, significance or impact on mankind. The faiths doctrines and traditions are derived from the teachings of one individual. The question of the ages is who is this person? Some say he is Jesus the Christ, Savior of the World, Son of God and the earthly son of Mary and Joseph of Galilee. Hated, an object of ridicule, scorned, martyred, healed the sick, opened the eyes of the blind and cast out demons and devils as part of his earthly ministry. Jesus a paradox, misconstrued, reviled, loved, celebrated claimed divinity as his heritage and birthed Christianity a movement that has shaken the world foundations over centuries. Who is this man who incites such passion from his followers? Let’s excavate his history as we seek understanding of his role as a breach repairer, connecting man back to divinity.

Jesus birth is estimated to be around 6–4 BC/BCE. Historians have calculated his birth date based on two approaches. One involves the analysis of the nativity accounts in the gospels of Luke and Matthew and working backwards from the start of his ministry to arrive at a date. The other option is the use of historical data. Writers such as Flavius Joseph a 1st century Jewish historian in the time Jesus lived, recorded information we are privy to today. Jesus was born in the days when King Herod lived, the book of Luke 1:5 notes the reign of Herod shortly before Jesus was born. So what this information does is it authenticates the existence of Jesus and gives us historical real data.

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

On another level Herod would be recognized per his status as King, his significance in world history did not go unrecorded. Jesus on the other hand was unrecognized and seemingly insignificant. We must remember Jesus was of no real importance to the world at this time; his influence was mostly among his followers. Jesus bore no title; he did not belong to the wealthy and moneyed circles. Jesus was a trailblazer and revolutionary figure. Individuals of this bent are generally unrecognized until after their death. Most scholars will agree that Jesus existed and he was some sort of teacher. While there are footnotes and overlapping attributes describing Jesus in historical data. A lot is not known of him outside the people who interacted with him. Biblical scriptures teach that “… God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty” 1 Corinthians 1:27. Jesus of seemingly no importance has impacted the world in ways in which kings have been unable to do with all their power and influence.

Jesus has many attributes, he is not just a man he is also divinity in human form. His very birth attests his to uniqueness. From Biblical accounts in the Book of Luke Chapters 1 and 2 we learn the details surrounding Jesus conception and ultimate birth. Mary of Nazareth was Jesus earthly mother. Why Mary and not another woman one might ask? Some facts about Mary, she was a virgin, pledged to be married to Joseph of Nazareth a town in Galilee. Mary’s betrothed Joseph came from the line of David, why the significance? King David meant a lot to God, God testified concerning David I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do’ Acts 13:22.God does not look at things man looks at “… the Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” 1 Samuel 16:7.

David found favor with God, and God made him a promise that he would send the savior through his line. “When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son. Your house and your kingdom shall endure forever before me; your throne shall be established forever” 2 Samuel 7:12-16.Everything in creation attests to the power of the living God. God sets up his plans and purposes way in advance of the players coming onto the scene. He promised David and he fulfilled his word through Joseph and Mary.

God is holy; he will never dwell in unclean vessels. We are told Mary was a virgin, but more importantly she found favor with God. Both Mary and David found favor with God, why? The Lord knows hearts, he chooses who he wants. The work God has for those he favors is never easy. It is great to be chosen by God but it means men will reject you. Gods favor makes the chosen to be envied by other men. We have seen how envy and hatred played out in the lives of Jesus, Mary, Joseph and David. I always emphasize the fact that God is a spirit; spirit can take many forms but ultimately God requires willing men and women to do his work in the earth realm. Mankind doesn’t see the persona of God, but they see the person and characteristics of God in others.

The earth and where God resides in heaven are two different realms. Each realm is inhabited by different beings and has vastly different functions. Earth is the training ground for things of the spirit; earth is the qualifying realm so to speak. Only three ways to leave earth, you can become an astronaut but you must reenter in some fashion, the second is through the rapture or thirdly we must die. I say this because there is protocol in entering and leaving the realms. Based on the evidence we have at our disposal Jesus is the only being who navigated both realms successfully. One could only accomplish such a feat if they are on intimate relations with the father or only if they themselves have the authority to defy the rules, principles and conventions of universal laws.

When Jesus was preparing to come to earth, a sanctified vessel had to be found to carry divinity. God makes his work look so easy and effortless we sometimes tend to dismiss it as insignificant or not God like. I ask you is there a measure for identifying the things of God? A womb gives birth to life; the first womb God used was the earth when he created Adam. God had to put himself into a womb; he had to pick one that belonged to someone that was pure. God word is so important to him he says “heaven and earth will pass away but my word will never pass away” Mathew 24:35.Wait, do you understand what God has said, his word stands above all else it’s more important than even you and me, it’s more important than his own kingdom wow….?

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” John 1:14.If we think of God words becoming flesh and the process that entails. How did Gods word end up in Mary’s womb, that’s for next time.

Man has established systems and patterns of living over many generations that govern his way of life. The engine of success, the life blood that drives and sustains each era in our continued existence is ideas and concepts. Concept: is a general idea, or something conceived in the mind. John Locke‘s description of a general idea corresponds to a description of a concept. According to Locke, a general idea is created by abstracting, drawing away, or removing the uncommon characteristic or characteristics from several particular ideas. The remaining common characteristic is that which is similar to all of the different individuals. For example, the abstract general idea or concept that is designated by the word “red” is that characteristic which is common to apples, cherries, and blood.

Concepts are crucial building blocks. From earliest recorded history to contemporary times our progression has been due in large part to the implementation and blending of old and new ideas. Each successive generation labors under the erroneous belief that they are somewhat better than their predecessors. This type of belief only robs and limits us of valuable resources and information. Our forefathers and predecessors connection to God and the environment is sadly lacking in this generation.

What is the Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is the originator off all kingdoms; no other kingdom manmade or otherwise can compare or rival it. “ The kingdom of God embraces all created intelligence, both in heaven and earth that are willingly subject to the Lord and are in fellowship with Him. The kingdom of God is, therefore, universal in that it includes created angels and men. It is eternal, as God is eternal, and it is spiritual—found within all born-again believers. We enter the kingdom of God when we are born again, and we are then part of that kingdom for eternity. It is a relationship “born of the spirit” (John 3:5), and we have confident assurance that it is so because the Spirit bears witness with our spirits (Romans 8:16)” (GotQuestions?org). The Kingdom of God in essence is everything that is subject to God. God is still ruler over all creation because God is sovereign. Christ came to restore the kingdom Adam lost because of the fall, so the kingdom of God is everything that recognizes the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Everything else will be destroyed in the fullness of time. Of note here “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” Genesis 1:26.Nowhere does the Bible say man must have dominion over man, God never intended for us to control each other.

The Bible in Genesis chapter one tells us that God spoke and there was .In the same chapter we are told that he created man in his image and likeness, one can deduce then that thoughts and ideas originated with God. Jesus also said that he does what he sees his father do. The idea of passing on of tradition, rules, a set of values from father to son, mentor and mentee a common thread running through creation. Certain ideas were passed on to man; the kingdom concept is one of the many Jesus preached and taught about.

Certain characteristics pertain to all kingdoms

Every Kingdom must have a ruler. The Bible’s primary goal is to equip the kingdom citizens for life in the kingdom. Mans system mimics God’s sovereign kingdom in many ways, but is diametrically opposed to Gods values. One kingdom espouses the freedom of all its subjects’ while the other flourishes on the bondage and domination of subjects. The Bible describes God’s kingdom in this way “The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all”Psalm 103:19.” How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation” Daniel 4:3

All Kingdoms have:

A king and Lord – a sovereign,

A Territory a domain

A Constitution-a royal covenant

A Citizenry – community of subjects

Laws – acceptable principles

Privileges – rights and benefits

A code of Ethics – acceptable lifestyle and conduct

An Army – security

A Commonwealth-economic security

A Social Culture –protocol and procedures

(Culled from Rediscovering the Kingdom by Miles Munroe)

Jesus is Lord over every kingdom in the earth. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name” Philippians 2:9.Man is God’s representative on the earth, God is a spirit and spirit beings live in heaven, earth is mans domain.
