Some thoughts…!

God loves people, he really wants us to love and forgive each other. Forgiveness though, is truly the work of God I tell you. After living for some time, your experiences will be many and varied.I wanted to touch on human emotions briefly .We have to be honest with each other, if we want to see change in society and in our own lives. Some people are quarrelsome.Whether its through demonic interference, or their own personality or a bit of both, it can be scary experience to witness. The sad part though, is that, the individuals who are under this bondage, believe something is wrong with everyone else. I have seen the extreme in human relationships, from one end of the spectrum to the next. Some individuals can be intense. I personally think we all have the capacity to be intense. Some people allow situations to take them to the next level. Anger can transform a human being into something, that is almost unrecognizable. I’m talking about the kind of anger where a persons actual physical face can transform into something else, when they’re having an argument. Very scary…!

I’ve also experienced love, you know someone can love you today and be your enemy tomorrow. Some of us have experienced love and then intense hatred from the men who’ve been our partners. Afterwards, you are left shaking your head, crying and trying to find out the reason why. Somethings we won’t understand, period. Humans are complex beings,I think many of us get bogged down trying to always fix family, fix our friends and others. The saying goes “you can bring a horse to the water, but you can’t force it to drink.” I believe you can love people from afar. Sometimes people are not ready or willing to receive your love, let them go. Some of us need to move on from family and friends. You will give your life trying to fix people, who are selfish and don’t care about you, ultimately. They are killing you with their indifference, for some of you, until you let them go, you won’t go to the next level in your life. I don’t know to whom, I’m speaking today. I’ve been there, loving, giving, trying to understand, praying in the trenches. Moving on doesn’t mean that you don’t care, it means you need to live, to breathe and to be free of their tyranny. It doesn’t mean you’re bitter, though they will say that. In fact your life will improve…dramatically.Turn the situation over to God and leave it with him.Let him work on your heart, learn to forgive and leave the rest alone. No human being can fix another.People have to desire change, its a process that starts from the inside, deep on the heart level.

Money cash

Words like power, money and control are often bandied about quite casually. If we study the nature of man, we will come to an understanding of how these terms impact every aspect of human life. Man is a consumer; he will always require something as he goes about daily life. He has to find a way to accomplish his desires, and fulfill his needs. The basic need for clothing, food and shelter, compels certain decision making processes. Ultimately we need money, if we are to have even the basics things in life. Money can be a force for good or evil, its dual nature has influenced many people in various ways. One of the lessons the Bible teaches is that “as it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one” Romans 3:10. Without the spirit of God in dwelling us it is impossible to live a life that is humanistic and selfless. So the opposite of that, is to try and influence or exert control over others to get our way.

Power is the ultimate tool in the hands of man; there are two powers at work in the earth realm. One is satanic, in the form of the powers of darkness. The other is a force for good, God’s way, the truth and light. Unfortunately, Adam’s and Eve decision in the Garden of Eden placed every human being into the hands of Satan. The only way we can be free of Satan is to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Power can be abused, evil men and women have come up with ways to exert control over others. Satan is the mastermind behind every wicked technology, what he has done is to teach his agents how to rig the world system that is under his directives. The world system of trade and economy represents the Babylonian system of old. It’s the system that gave rise to most of the models we follow today in business etc. Babylon is about greed, control, selfishness, hoarding and amassing to gain leverage and power over others. I’m not attacking the wealthy, all I’m doing is teaching about the systems of the world. God will give me and every other believer what is his to give.God’s system is vastly different from the world system.

Ultimately everything in heaven and earth belongs to God. In the early church, the people came together, as a community of and divided up their wealth so everyone could benefit .The Bible states in Psalm 24:1  The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.. I have taught that the Bible is prophetic; God has divine timing for everything. Nothing surprises him, he has allowed things to come about to serve his own purposes. Every system that has ever been introduced to the world has faltered at some point and died, we can go back through history and study, the rise and fall of many empires and dynasties great examples are the Greek and Roman empires. The world economy is in shambles, people are crying out under the load of debt and poverty, it’s everywhere, and even believers are affected. I spoke to an individual yesterday; he said to me “it’s time the government did something about this.” I said to him, if they could they would. The Bible has said many things concerning money, the book of Ecclesiastes states that “A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things”. From this scripture, the distinction is made, that money, is quite important.

God was speaking to me about the issue of blood. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul” Leviticus 17:11. We understand then that the life of something is in the Blood. What is life? What is blood? We can come up with many topical definitions of what they are. Here God is saying that they cannot exist without the other.Wow…powerful, you’ll never think of them the same way again. So if you read earlier I spoke about sacrifice, and spirits. If we put everything we know together so far a picture of the spiritual realm will emerge. God is not bloodthirsty as some would have you think. Mans enemy, has him killing each other to appease the blood thirsty demons. From what we read in the Bible,Spirits were not created to eat or be like us.They want blood, to kill the life in that blood.

Every man they take down especially, if that individual is an unbeliever is one more notch for Satan. Satan is a cruel being, demons and devils have sinned, they are perverted , cursed and disgraced. So to is everyone who does their bidding. Before man messed up in the garden of Eden, there was no blood requirement. Sin necessitates blood, to clean up its evil effect. You see there came a point that God himself had to come and shed his divine blood, because the blood of animals was not enough to destroy the taint of the sins of mankind. Do you know that babies blood and mothers blood, don’t cross in the womb? Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit, but it was divine blood, that flowed in Jesus veins. Now that is another divine mystery, because I just said that demons are spirits and spirits are unlike men. Jesus was a spirit before he entered the womb. We don’t understand the love God has for mankind. If we did we would never behave in the manner we do with each other. Jesus blood trumps every other sacrifice known to man.The people who are not under the blood of Jesus don’t realise the danger they are in. The shedding of blood is a sacrifice. Anyone who sheds blood is cursed. Only one mans blood can deliver you and his name is Jesus Christ.

God is a holy God,he cannot tolerate sin on any level. The enemy is always trying to discredit his creator, he has never stopped speaking lies and he won’t stop now. Mankind is buying into his lies and harming each other. I said before we are family, Gods children. The enemy has come in and messed up what God wanted to do with us. Man doesn’t know who he is. If he did, he would not be trading his power for demon power. The spirit of the Lord then told me that for every killing a demon responsible. You see many people cut down in the prime of their youth, smitten by all kinds of sickness and disease,a demon is responsible. God has timing for everything “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away” Psalm 90:10. If you did not, get to the Lords timing for you life, you were cut down, don’t matter what people  might say.

Having to go over completed projects is very demoralising .  I’m a work in progress, but it will  be all good in the end. I don’t believe in coincidences anymore and so I try to humble myself and learn from every situation. After encountering  many setbacks and opposition in my lifetime, I’m very grateful  for the lessons in resiliency and patience.

Forward momentum has arrived in 2013, and I’m working on some new projects. I can’t wait to share them with you, I do apologise for being away from you on WordPress. As I build,I’ve come across many walls, in the form of spiritual battles, but God is faithful. I tell people, attitude and knowledge is everything, as we go through life’s trials and testings. We fall down but we get up by the grace of God. Blessings, and happy Thursday everyone!

National Day of Prayer

Rarely discussed is the issue of soul ties. I posted previously on the topic and felt it necessary to do a second article. I wrote soul ties in response to an earlier post on “Sexuality a blessing or a curse.” Soul ties as the name implies is the joining or coming together of two or more souls. The soul in its basic application is the essence of a person. Different religious traditions teach that all biological organisms have souls. Sometimes, the word soul, functions as a synonym for spirit, mind, and the self. The soul is an important and vital component of every living human being. TD Jakes writes “the soul, housing the mind, will and emotions is truly the last great, unexplored realm on earth” The Forty Day Soul Fast (Cindy Trimm 15). The book of Mark asks “for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul” (King James Bible, Mark 8:36)? We can appreciate the validity then, of this all important aspect of our make-up.

God made everything and called it good. When man fell in the ‘Garden of Eden’, sin entered into the world, changing the nature and the dynamics of the universe. Previously man had enjoyed fellowship with God, which enabled him to walk circumspectly, and gave him the where withal to make great choices. Man’s appetites, was in essence pure, and in line with Godly character and behavior. Our souls now crave the very things that eventually destroy us. Most individuals, especially the Christian believer, have a good idea of what God expects from us. So if we shun the bad or undesirable models, we should expect to grow in the grace and knowledge of God, and embrace spiritual things.

As we journey through life, certain choices have impacted the trajectory of our lives. It is only through hindsight that we come to an understanding that, maybe we should have chosen differently. What would have happened, if we had prior knowledge or revelation, before embarking on major life changing decisions? Some decisions have lasting impact on our lives and destiny. Try as we might, we can’t go back and fix them. How many individuals are in the dark about spiritual matters?  We all need information, in order to be successful in life. The spiritual realm is the causative realm. Causative, because everything happens in the spiritual realm first, before it ever manifests in the physical. So how do we succeed or make great decisions? Every one of us, need some type of information, if we are to succeed in life. Francis Bacon said ‘knowledge is power’, I’m a firm believer of this old adage. Having knowledge is one thing though, we need the wisdom to apply and make it work for us. I think every human being started out wanting to be an over comer and to be victorious in life. If I knew what I know now, I would have saved myself a world of trouble. So let’s look at the problems with illicit sex. One of mankind’s most pleasurable pursuits, our greatest area of ignorance, bondage and affliction.

The focus of the present education system is mostly geared to instruction in the academic arena. Spiritual instruction is minimal at best. Society tends to leave it up to the church to instruct individuals concerning their spirituality. While I agree wholeheartedly that the church is the best institution to handle mans spiritual affairs, I want to present the idea, of more involvement by society, at large. Our children learn many things, early on in their development. I believe there is great benefit in enforcing good values and positively reinforcing good morals in children, from an early age. Our spiritual nature is ever present; it is something that is our heritage from birth. The spiritual realm and its activities aren’t on hold, waiting until we discover who we are. The attitude of contemporary man is to wait until, he is older to explore and partake of this privilege. Our approach to spirituality is more reactionary than proactive. Certain behaviors we exhibit, have been handed down from our ancestors, some is from societal norms and others we pattern after each other. I’m not referring to peer pressure per say, but the attitude is well, sEnglish: Title page of The Holy Bible, King Ja...o and so is doing it. As I wrote in the previous piece, we were not taught that sex is a spiritual transaction, which has binding ties.

Sex is supposed to be a beautiful act between two married lovers. Mans enemy has taken something beautiful and perverted it, making the sex act a free for all, anything goes. If we look around us in society today, we can see the heinous and terrible destruction that has come upon mankind because of sexual perversion. It’s not something new; many societies have tasted the poison of illicit sex. As a student of the Bible, it is incumbent on me to present its teachings as it relates to contemporary society. Satan always wants man to turn away from God, in fact his primary objective is to get us to disobey the laws that God has instituted we adhere to. Many promising men and women and leaders in society, lives have been tainted by scandal, their destinies and their lives cut short by sexual immorality.

Prostitution, a scourge on society has been in existence for some time now, even men and women in antiquity bartered sex. The story of Rahab illustrates this very well, “and Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there” Joshua 2:1. We must remember that God doesn’t hate people who are truly repentant of their sins, he hates the sin. From the above scripture we can see that, even in antiquity, man found a way to barter away, what was sacred. Sure we can make all the excuses we want, sex was never intended for the things we sometimes use it for.

Why should we care?  If you want to stem the tide of destruction in your family, in your society and nation, then we all need to change. Money doesn’t equate happiness, as we have seen time and time again by the numerous tragic circumstances of the wealthy. Rich and poor alike, we all suffer from the consequences of immorality. King David lusted after Bathsheba and destroyed her husband to have her, 2 Samuel 11. David suffered dearly, and his children shared in his sins. One slept with his father’s wives in full view of the people and the other raped his half sister. We could argue that they acted alone, but the Bible states that God “visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation” Exodus 34:7. So no one escapes the wrath of God, when we decide to disobey his commandments.

English: Moses speaks to the children of Israe...

We are spirit beings, and in the spirit realm we communicate by transferring things to and from one another. I know for some folks, it is hard to grasp the concept, because you can’t see it or even begin to understand the spiritual realm. Know that it is real though, your physical body is a house, the real you is inside that house. Whether you are aware of it or not, the spiritual realm is acting on you and you acting on it. Touch is transference, kiss is transference, and sex is one of the most intimate ways of communication. Not only that, it is a way of entering into the others person spirit. During the sex act, the partners become one. God made his world like that, because we are supposed to be sharing certain qualities with each other, when we come together on such a level. Hence the union and joining of the body was intended for married couples. By the time people marry, they are already joined in other ways and are sharing house and home. Courtship is important because it is getting you ready for joining on a deeper level. In antiquity and even now, parents choose partners, because they wanted certain qualities in their family, same thing. What perversion and illicit sex does is to bypass the ritual of finding out what you need to know beforehand. You jump in, only to encounter difficulties and then we want to bail; only the damage is already done.

So why is the enemy having a field day with humans? Satan loves to bring bondage upon people, that is his way primary of controlling, manipulating and destroying human beings. Every opening on the body is a gateway to our spirit man. Satan has many ways of defiling a person spiritually. He tries many methods until he succeeds, that is why, we must walk in obedience to God’s laws. We must be careful, what we watch (sight), eat (taste), listen (hearing), touch, and smell. Your senses are an important part of your makeup; they work in concert with your physical and spiritual man. The sex organs are an entryway to your spirit man. It is a type of doorway; you wouldn’t just let anyone come into your house? That’s what we do when we have sex with people we are not married to. Whatever is on the person you are intimate with, will come into your spirit. Hence the many issues we see being replicated in community after community, we are allowing this to happen because of our careless and loose behavior when it comes to sexuality. Satan uses sexuality to call the judgment of God down on people. God cannot change, he has decreed certain things, and he has pronounced curses, if you disobey you will reap spiritual problems.

The Downfall of Adam and Eve and their Expulsi...

The Downfall of Adam and Eve and their Expulsion from the Garden of Eden.

When we become intimate we enter into a covenant, a covenant is usually between two or more parties, that is why sexual sins are so binding. You never forget the persons you sleep with, and you are bonded with your partners at the deepest level possible, this becomes a soul tie, and only the mercy of God can break the tie. Demons and devils enter into us through our partners. Ever wonder why some people can’t quit the behavior that is destroying them? They are under bondage, and even when the desire to quit is present they continue to engage in it. When we engage in sexual immorality, we are inviting trouble into our lives. Demons are counting on your ignorance and your participation, because you get to cooperate in your own bondage. The Bible says “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body” 1 Corinthians 6:18 .

We must remember that Satan deals in perversion, good things link up with the positive realm of the supernatural. Immorality links the person with the negative spiritual realm. Many people are linked to others in the spirit, although they don’t necessarily know the person. They are sharing demons and devils, you can’t see them but they onboard. Some people will never see real growth and progress in their lives until they get delivered. It’s a wide topic, and again I just scratched the surface but I’m ready to move on. Be blessed!

Created to destroy God’s enemies, Samson was born to fulfill a specific assignment on earth. His life was fraught with many battles, some which he brought on himself. The name Samson in Hebrew means “distinguished”, “the distinguished one” and “man of the sun.” Samson was born in the period when God was punishing the Israelites. God allowed Israel’s enemies namely the Philistines to wage war against them because they were disobedient. In Judges 13 we are told that Sampson’s mother was barren and could not conceive, God granted her prayer for a child. Samson’s coming was heralded by an angel of God. There were certain stipulations concerning the child’s coming into the world. He was to be a nazarite, which is a person consecrated to God for a specific purpose. The call on Sampson’s life was so great, that God in his wisdom stipulated that he lived and observed certain rules. The angel told Samson’s mother “now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.”

As we see throughout scriptures, whenever, Israel disobeys God, he gives them over to their enemies in judgment for their sin. As the people cry out to him, he sends or raises up someone to bring deliverance. Israel relationship with God is an interesting one; you would think with all their struggles they would have learnt their lesson. Mans nature is fickle, Israel’s behavior illustrates this aspect of our makeup, we tend to forget all too quickly the goodness of God. God relationship with Israel follows a set pattern; the people   worship foreign Gods and false idols which anger God: Yahweh in Hebrew.

The Pattern:

  1. 1.    Israel “does evil in the eyes of Yahweh”,
  2. 2.    the people are given into the hands of their enemies and cry out to Yahweh,
  3. 3.    Yahweh raises up a leader,
  4. 4.    the “spirit of Yahweh” comes upon the leader,
  5. 5.    the leader manages to defeat the enemy, and
  6. 6.    Peace is regained.

Once peace was regained, for a time Israel does right and receives God’s blessings, only to relapse into evil behavior, repeating the pattern set forth above. God is forgiving and compassionate, he forgives countless times, but he also chastens those he loves. Samson was one of the last judges of Israel, judging from about 1095-1075 B.C.

Who were the Judges: They were divinely inspired leaders whose direct knowledge of God allows them to act as leaders, prophets and messengers for Israel. They would be the liaisons between the people and all opposing powers during periods of oppression by foreign rulers. This cycle happens about seven times between the conquests of Joshua until the time of Samuel. Samson lived towards the end of this 350 year period and is the last judge mentioned in the book of Judges. There were twelve judges in total, representing the twelve tribes of Israel. Some had major roles and offices, in the Book of Judges they were divided into two groups, the major and minor judges.

Quite a length of time and history involved, many generations of Israelites carried on in the same pattern. Mankind, to a large degree has behaved in predictable fashions for ages, it doesn’t matter how many times we teach, some people still disbelieve and some will continue to do evil. God gave Samson special ability to accomplish his mandate; he was the strongest man that ever lived. His supernatural strength was given for a reason. It was to be used to enable him to fight for his people, to protect them from attacks, to establish his people and bring them to God, through his example of servitude. Samson’s fight with the Philistines was largely personal and not out of concern for his people. God’s most important asset after his word is people. God acknowledges those who acknowledge him. I say this because the Philistines had their own Gods, so God left them to their own devices. We must remember too, that the Bible teaches that those who hate God’s chosen are his enemies and he will fight against such people.

When the angel came he stated that “the child was not to drink wine, cut his hair or touch a dead body” (13:3). Samson’s strength was in his covenant with God, what the angel delivered was indeed a covenant relationship, which would only be successful if Samson kept the agreement. Samson would eventually lead a life of excess, thereby wasting his talents and fulfilling his own lusts. Many times in life, we make decisions that change the trajectory of our destiny. Samson adamant decision to marry a Philistine girl, against the wishes of his parents would impact his life forever. When his young wife was killed, it pitted Samson against the Philistines in a personal vendetta. Samson priories became skewed from that moment on, and his focus was broken. He began frequenting prostitutes, a man chosen and given so many talents, leadership and divinely appointed lost his way. The enemy of mankind never rests; behind the scenes he was destroying a life that was full of promise. Maybe Samson wanted to bury his sorrows, maybe he felt unworthy after the death of his wife. Why did he not remarry? Why did he not repent? Did he ask God to heal his broken heart? Valid questions that the Bible does not answer for us, Samson was low in spirits to sort the company of prostitutes.

Delilah: is a Philistine harlot, and her mission was to trick and capture Samson for the Philistines. Her only loyalty was to the coin and the Philistines her own people. Delilah was a seducer, a trickster and someone who was involved in the dark arts. She bewitched Samson, so that he made stupid mistakes. We must remember that Samson was very strong, ‘he wrestled and killed a lion’ Judges 14:5–6, when the Philistines came upon him, they would come, as an army. This happened about three or four times with Delilah present after she had sold him out. So either Samson was stupid, arrogant, confident in his ability to escape, or he was under some sort of bewitchment. He eventually, told her his secret, which she promptly used against him.

God is faithful to the end, although Samson failed miserably, God redeemed in the end. He even mentions him, in Hebrews11:32 “And what shall I more say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets.”

Samson was an obstinate and strong willed man, he was not humble and extreme hubris dogged his footsteps. He strayed from God; Samson did not walk close to God for most of his life. It was towards the end, when he lost everything including his eyesight that he restored his covenant with God. This story is an example of how Satan can interrupt and destroy a life, if we are not careful to walk in divine revelation. Samson’s tenure was twenty years but he left little to show for his time in office. He frustrated the Philistines though, thwarting their attempts to totally dominate Israel.

Death Valley

  • Time without beginning or end; infinite time.
  • The state or quality of being eternal.
  •  The timeless state following death.
  •  The afterlife; immortality.
  •  A very long or seemingly endless time:

“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart; but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end” Ecclesiastes 3:11

Every generation and culture that has ever walked the earth believes in some aspect of this concept. So where did it come from? I chose the scripture verse above because, I believe it speaks to the connection that we already have with eternity. Something has been deposited on our inside, which forces us to grasp the reality, that there exists a place, outside the realm of human comprehension. Eternity is relatively unknown, as I said earlier, some things are mysteries, and revelations of the mysterious are to be earned. We imagine many stories and theories of what we think eternity will be like. Personally, I think eternity will be the most sublime of all experiences.

The Bible has quite a lot to say on the subject, but what is most striking is the dual states it presents. We pass from life into death and eternity, eternity is unknown, largely because it is a place that many never return from and thirdly it is portrayed as a reward based on how we lived our lives on earth. So if eternity is a reward, earth is the preparation center. Whenever we are journeying, we always take some time to prepare ourselves and take with us the things we will need for our trip. Once we have entered into eternity there is no coming back, what you left behind, stays behind. People get rewarded for both good and bad behaviors in the earth realm; eternity seems to be a similar idea because we are told of two locations, Heaven and Hell. Since these states exist independent of time, we too must undergo change as we exit the realm where time operates and influence our actions. William Blake said To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour. Here the poet captures the essence of the thread of my musings.

The bible teaches that Eternity is a place like no other, the trials and problems of living in the earth realm will be no more. Living and death is interconnected. We must pass from one state to the other. I have mentioned before that death has meaning, life has meaning; they are two states of being.Time affects us all, as we can clearly see the aging process; occurring right before our eyes. From what the Bible teaches eternity will be a beautiful time for those who have prepared themselves to journey there.
